MileziM vs. Spark 1:43 scale models, and do they compare?
MileziM is a new line by Spark brand, manufactured by the same scale model manufacturer – MINIMAX (China). MileziM is an economy brand of the Spark brand. MileziM / Spark Editions website.
Here is a comparison of Renault 4 CV by Spark, Renault 8 Major and Renault Dauphine Gordini by MileziM. Interestingly enough, models do differ in quality very little. Spark is more detailed and looks more sharp. MileziM has a little bit less detail expression and detail sharpness. But compared to other Renault models from different manufacturers, for example Norev, Vitesse, UH and Minichamps, detail level is comparable. One of the MileziM models (on of the two here), though, has a not so precisely placed back window and really looks bad.
The scale (1:43) is comparable as well, and it is consistent with the rest of the 1:43 Renault models by Spark. Good job! If mistakes in the models are not so frequent (as the one described above), the question would be whether it makes sense to market the Renault 1:43 models that are in the pipeline under the Spark brand. My answer would be “Yes”.
Here are some photos you can zoom in to compare yourself.
MileziM and Norev
The recent Norev Renault models in 1:43 are of very good quality, especially Clio, Megane, Twingo etc. The quality of these models is actually better than MileziM. Norev reproductions of Renault cars from the New Renault Era is pretty good, and these 1:43 scale models do not have displaced parts (as the R8 from MileziM has). Average price of Norev 1:43 Renault scale model is circa EUR 30. Average (hard to tell average here) price of MileziM 1:43 Renault scale model is EUR 39.
